Recently, the noted British wine writer for The Guardian newspaper, Fiona Beckett extolled the pleasures of migrating to bigger, richer reds as the nights grow longer and the temperatures begin to drop. Beckett shares her love for some of her favorite values from local UK supermarket stores.
As the clocks change and the leaves fall from the trees, we have to agree with that sentiment of seeking out great value reds to add to the cooler, crispier evenings. Lately, our favorites are coming more and more from Spain and seem to be primarily Tempranillo or Tempranillo blends.
