Quality matters when it comes to beer. So, when we saw an online article on the “Eat This, Not That” website titled “9 Beers That Use the Highest Quality Ingredients” we were interested. Some great beers are listed. Some we have tried and others were new to us.

But the article reminded us that quality in the beer glass you use matters also. That’s why we use the very best ingredients to manufacture our beer glasses and why we make so many different types of beer glasses. And, The Survey Says: High-Performance Wine Glasses Made in Germany are the Clear Winners

Passionate wine drinkers have never been known to be shy about offering up their opinions on nearly any topic. This includes those topics that are both well-known and those that might be considered a bit obscure. This axiom is especially true when it comes to areas related to wine and the wine industry.

For instance, a not long ago editorial by Wine Spectator’s News Editor Mitch Frank referenced a study from the research firm Wine Intelligence that surveyed wine consumers opinions on wine packaging. The survey in nine top wine-consuming countries and the results showed that “55% believe that glass bottles are a sustainable form of wine packaging, but just 35% thought the same of bag-in-a box wine, even though it requires much less fuel to transport.”

Well that got us to thinking about taking our own survey. Not as scientific perhaps as one done by a high-end, top notch market research organization such as Wine Intelligence, but just as accurate (at least we think it is). At a gathering over the weekend, we surveyed 16 people about their choice of wine glass, asking the question “Which would you prefer to drink your wine from - a beautiful, high-performance, German-made wine glass or a foldable, toss-away paper cup?”

And, folks, let us tell you - the results are in and they are overwhelming! 93.8% (yes, there was 1 contrarian in the study group!) of the people we surveyed would much rather enjoy their wine from a beautiful, high-performance wine glass made in Germany.

So, that settles it. Cheers!
